Do You Have a Pastor?

No, I’m not asking whether you have a church. Did it ever occur to you that even if you have a church, you might still not have a pastor?

  • Maybe you have not been in contact with your church or its pastor for some time.
  • Maybe you have a church but the pastor has little time for ministering to individual members.

At Prince of Peace Lutheran Church we have a pastor.

  • His name is Mark Franck.
  • He has been at our church over 25 years and has no plans to leave any time soon.
  • Pastor Franck visits his members, or anyone referred to him, at home, in the hospital, or in extended care facilities.
  • Pastor Franck speaks from personal acquaintance at funeral services and memorial services.
  • Pastor Franck has a hands-on approach to his ministry, being personally involved in our annual Vacation Bible
Camp and numerous other activities for adults or children.
  • Pastor Franck is always ready to talk to you if you need a godly source of guidance for some situation you are in.
  • Pastor Franck does many tasks around the church building; you will not spend much time at all at our church without becoming acquainted with him, and he with you.
  • Pastor Franck’s offers Bible classes with meaningful life applications for anyone who wants to attend or view online.
  • Pastor Franck assists his wife Allison in conducting a weekly “GriefShare” meeting for people in the community who have experienced loss.

I personally retired and moved to Howell almost five years ago. I would not have settled for just any pastor. We have never regretted joining Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. And at this church we got a bonus: Not only did we gain a pastor, but we found as friendly a congregation as you will find anywhere.

Of course, ultimately, both the pastor and the congregation are secondary; they are only tools the Lord uses. Ultimately it is about God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ, who came to give us much more than friendly and helpful people here on earth; He came to provide us with an eternity to live with Him in perpetual happiness, and He gives that to us as an absolutely free gift.

You are welcome to check out one of our Pastor’s worship services on Facebook. But if you want the full effect, come and meet him – and the rest of us – in person, Sundays at 9:30 a.m. 2515 W. Grand River. May the Lord bless you!
